Integration & Application of Knowledge, in Civic, Social, & Personal Contexts
The award for 'DRSL with the Longest Name' goes to Mr. Integration and Application of Knowledge, in Civic, Social, and Personal Contexts! Usually we just call him 'Integration of Knowledge', for short.
Integration of Knowledge emphasizes making connections. In science, some of the biggest discoveries are made where two fields overlap. But that's not all this DRSL is about; it earned that huge name.
As his "middle name", Application, suggests, rather than simply forgetting what he's learned, he retains it and applies it to life OUTSIDE of school. If you go through twelve or more years of schooling, and are not made better because of it... well, a) what a waste!; b) the school has been doing something wrong; and c) so have YOU!
The whole point of education is to help people grow and improve so that they can make informed decisions, work together more effectively and improve their life and the world. This DRSL is a reminder of that.

Examples
Below is a document that I wrote in 10th grade in the Science Research class. It's called a "News You Can Use" or NYCU for short, and it's something we would do to help come up with and develop ideas for a science fair project. If you looked at the full name of the DRSL, Integration of Knowledge, like a checklist, NYCUs meet all of the requirement.
1. Integration
Typically, when you use NYCUs, you make more than one. In the beginning, when you're still looking at a multitude of topics you may be interested in, looking at several individual NYCUs at once can help you come up with a cool idea (i.e. by integrating several). However, even as your topic becomes more narrow, making connections between different aspects of a topic helps make sense of things.

2. Application
An NYCU is meant to be applied to something (namely, the researcher's project). It's in the name, you see: News You Can Use.

3. Knowledge
Making an NYCU is an efficient way of using your research. Since research is therefore necessary to write an NYCU, it is a good example of one way you can gain knowledge.

4. In Civic, Social, & Personal Contexts
This is stretching a little bit, but the nature of many science fair projects affect civics, judging is a part of science fairs that falls under the social category, and the student scientist personally learns a lot.

The following paper is a Literary Practice Report, which I wrote in 12th grade. At first I thought it was such a strange type of paper that I was convinced my teacher just made it up on some whim. However, strange as it might be, it is a great example of Integration of Knowledge. It required analyzing how a community that you, the writer, are a part of uses literacy.
Using the same checklist approach, this paper meets all the "requirements" of this DRSL, as well.
1. Integration
The whole idea of this paper is to see how literacy is integrated in a specific community.
Check!
2. Application
Similar to 'Integration'; you can also reword it to say: The whole idea of this paper is to see how literacy is applied in a specific community.
Check!
3. Knowledge
There's always the possibility of learning something new when you write a paper, even if you don't have to do any research.
Check!
4. In Civic, Social, & Personal Contexts
Because we're dealing with a community, you can say it applies to all three contexts. Also, literacy is a means of communication and therefore fits in the social category.
